If you haven’t made it to Harlem Week yet — this is your last chance. From August 10–17, 2025, Uptown is closing out this month-long celebration with a week packed full of culture, music, food, and community spirit. We’re talking street festivals, fashion shows, outdoor movies, children’s events, career fairs, and some of the best live performances you’ll catch all summer.


🌟 The Big Kickoff: “A Great Day in Harlem” — August 10

Location: Ulysses S. Grant National Memorial Park (122nd St & Riverside Dr)

  • From 12 PM to 7 PM, the International Village opens with vendors selling arts & crafts, jewelry, clothing, accessories, and international foods.

  • Live entertainment takes over the stage in themed segments, showcasing Harlem’s deep musical and cultural roots.

  • Best part? It’s free to wander, shop, and soak it all in.

August 11 (Mon)

  • Children’s Corner: Books on the Move (12–2 PM) — Storytime fun.

  • Youth Conference (6–8 PM) — Real talk with Harlem’s young leaders about the challenges and opportunities they see in their community.

August 12 (Tue)

  • Economic Development Day (12–3 PM) — Panels on business, tech, and community growth.

  • Harlem On My Mind: Justice, Reform & the Future (7–10 PM) — A powerful intergenerational conversation.

August 15–17 (Fri–Sun) — Signature Harlem Week Finale Events

  • Joints Are Jumpin’ — Dine and groove at iconic Harlem restaurants like Sylvia’s, Melba’s, Red Rooster, and Minton’s Playhouse with live entertainment.

  • Uptown Saturday Nite (Aug 16, 3–7 PM) — Salsa, Latin jazz, fashion shows, and a family outdoor movie night at St. Nicholas Park.

  • Summer in the City (Aug 16) — Street fairs, back-to-school fashion, live performances, and hundreds of vendors.

  • Children’s Festival (Aug 16–17) — Arts, music, sports, and activities for kids.

  • Harlem Day (Aug 17, 1–7 PM) — The finale! Three stages of live music from jazz to hip-hop, plus food, health, and culture on full display.
